1952 Wolverine, #30 Loop-A-Loop, Factory Sealed in Original Box
A most extraordinary toy find! This auction is for a factory sealed box produced by Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Co. Sealed inside the box is Wolverine's wonderful multicolored tin litho clockwork amusement ride toy; Loop-A-Loop. It's never been played with, touched, or even looked at. Nearly as fresh as the day it came out of the factory 53 years ago. The toy works using a continuous see-saw motion. It launches a double ended car from one side to the other making a complete loop in-between. It was introduced in 1952 through the Sears Christmas Catalog and originally sold for $2.45. I've included a photo example of another one sold several years ago. Not only is the box still factory sealed, but its condition is nothing short of amazing. Easily near mint+ to mint. Look it over. You won't find a single dent, ding, scratch, tear, store mark, price sticker, or even soiling. Only some faint staining on one panel. Both endflaps are still strongly sealed with its original factory paper tape. The printed text and illustration are bold without any fading. Size: 19½" x 5¾" square. Sold: Oct. 2005
